Seniorenausschuss
Gemäß Vereinssatzung (§ 8 Abs. 3) gehört der Seniorenausschuss zu den ständigen Ausschüssen des Vereins. Seine Zusammensetzung sowie seine Aufgaben sind in der Satzung nicht näher ausgeführt.
Derzeit setzt sich der Seniorenausschuss unter Leitung von Mike Lindner aus folgenden Mitgliedern zusammen: Harald Hübner, Hilda Drews, Gerhild Hansen und Michael Braasch. In der Regel tagt der Seniorenausschuss viermal im Jahr.
Neben den vielen Sport- und Gesundheitsprogrammen für Senioren sieht es der Verein als seine gesellschaftspolitische Aufgabe an, für seine Vereinsmitglieder zusätzliche „überfachliche“ und kulturelle Veranstaltungen anzubieten.
Die Senioren können in der Gruppe mit anderen Gleichaltrigen singen, Skat spielen, Handarbeit verrichten, wandern und radwandern usw. Der Seniorenausschuss organisiert auch Tagesausflüge und Besichtigungsfahrten, sowie Vorträge über aktuelle Themen für seine Vereinsmitglieder.
Der Seniorenausschuss ist auch bereit, sich an einem intensiven Gedankenaustausch zu Themen der Sportentwicklung sowie seiner Rahmenbedingungen und der möglichen Schnittstellen zu Fragen der Kommunal- und Stadtentwicklung im Stadtteil Tungendorf zu beteiligen.
Der demographische und soziale Wandel in Neumünster zeigt, dass die Seniorenarbeit im SVT in den nächsten Jahren eine Schwerpunktaufgabe darstellen wird. Durch den Vorsitzenden des Senioren-Ausschusses wird ein intensiver Erfahrungsaustausch mit dem Kreissportverband sowie dem Turnverband und dem Seniorenbüro der Stadt gepflegt.
